History

The club was formed in 1998 when three clubs, Brookside Tigers, Timberlea Titans and St. Margaret’s Bay Saints, united.  This fact has never been far from the club’s heart with all three of the founding club’s insignia found prominently in our crest today.  Our colors are gold and black, and we affectionately refer to ourselves as both County and HCU.

Today, Halifax County United Soccer Club is one of the largest clubs in the Halifax Regional Municipality, with over 1,600 players from Under 6 to senior.  It includes the western part of HRM from Brookside to Hubbards and Peggy's Cove to Hammonds Plains.

HCU is focused on providing quality programs for players of all ages and levels of ability and interest.  The goal of our program is to foster a love of the game and help the individual achieve their full potential.
